Where and how much to weld.

This shows where second gear hits the shift fork.

This shows how much needs to be machined off and that reverse won't be a problem after welding.

The weld was dressed off with a hand grinder.

There, it looks close but it clears and shifts fine.

Some times I just take a pic because it looks neat

OK, clean everything up and start again

Now everything is fine.

Torque it one more time.

Ready for a diff.

Been here before, these cars demand a lot. It took 24 hours to figure out a solution and be ready to install the gear box once again.
