Old habits one more check

New loc tabs and nuts are available

 

OK now we can get busy.

We need to find TDC. There is a little dwell over the top so we check 010 either side and split the difference.

Didn't expect the flash I can see the numbers

I'll get a better shot, this is the largest I could afford at the time.

Big bags big price little parts, off set cam keys

We know where TDC is so we are looking for full lift #1 intake valve.

Again there is a little dwell over the nose so we check .010 either side add the numbers and divide by 2.

This cam and timing kit are very close. A two degree key is all that's needed to sort it out.

Drive down on the rear of the key with a proper drift and it should flip.

 

With new key installed we check again. There is always a chance of getting it backwards

It's close enough so we torque it up.

Loc the cam nut.

Don't forget the oil slinger.
