Engine build 10/27/2006

This is a SW5 cam we have heard so much about

Yes the water has about had it. Hard to believe that much dirt came off new clean parts.

It's not in my engine.

I figure, all told, I have 8 hours of cleaning involved in an engine from start to finish.

I like LL5 from Sealed Power ,I believe it's a product of Johnson Tappet

New thrust plate and shake-proof washers

This is important oil and plenty of it on the sides of the lifters. The object is to exclude cam and lifter lube.

While you want that and plenty of it on the cam lobes and lifter face.

Lifter lube restricts rotation and rotation is key to proper cam break in.

Oil the lifter bore as well.

This engine was balanced the flywheel and back plate lightened the normal amount for the material.

Lifters are in and oiled
