Engine build 10/20/2006

A sharp counter sink will deburr the threaded holes.

Don't forget to chase the threads for the mains.

The machine shop has a sanding cone to chamfer the bores. I hate for them to do it for fear they will remove to much material.

 I use a folded half sheet of 220 at a 45% angle.

Doing it this way means great care needs to be taken installing the pistons in the bore.

I also do the bottoms of the bores as honing sometimes leaves a slight bur in that area just use care not to rough up the bore.

Moroso brush kit about $30 at local speed shop. A proper stiff brush for every size hole.

High pressure air and siphon gun to blow soapy water followed by brushing and rinse with plain water.

It's important to blow dry the block as quick as possible. Then oil the cylinders, lightly.

A bucket of hot soapy Joy dish water detergent  as hot as possible.

The rinse water should be hot also.

All clean and ready for assembly.
