Engine build 10/18/2006

This engine was a gold seal in service for 12 years and suffered a broken ring on a long grade after a 10 hour drive.
The freeze/ core plugs and cam bearing were removed.
The block was cleaned with a new enviro. friendly stuff that doesn't clean.
It was decked to set compression and bored .020 with Hepolite pistons skirt coated with PC 9 Swain Tech.
I just don't put pistons in without it.
Mounted on the engine stand I have cleaned and painted
the block and am ready to begin the finial prep before assembly cleaning. This
one has the brass oil galley plugs. I drill for 1/4 course.

A bolt , washer and a tube makes a puller and you have them
out.

Be careful tapping brass while soft it will get hot and snap a
tap before you realize it.
